I tend to agree with you.  I am not against it but when you film it and others see it it will simply disgust them.

Last fall on the Outdoor Channel one of the bow hunting shows did a whole show on riding in the back of a boat and shooting at jumping carp with bow and arrow.  It was an exact caricature of what anti hunters think about us.  The only thing missing was a cooler full of beer.

I wrote to both the show and Outdoor channel my thoughts on this (actually I asked if they were TRYING to look like idiots!), never got an answer from either.

I've never seen anything like this before to be honest, and I've done my fair share of varmint erradication but this is the "Girls gone wild" version of a prairie dog hunt. The one that made me really uneasy though was when they were shooting the 50 BMG against the rocks, ricochet anyone? It does, however, make you stand in awe at the power of some of these weapons.

That vid is a proven 'fake'.  It is guys shooting 'rock hoppers' and is wasn't with a BMG.

Someone sent me that video a while back. I showed to a friend that is a retired sniper, was in Afghanistan. He said it it a 50 cal shooting mountain goats. My son that is in the army said they showed it to them in basic, to give a little demonstration of the power of a 50 cal.
