Newbern, the president of Buckeyes for Concealed Carry, was taken forcibly into police custody just after 8:30 p.m., while he was standing at the front of the crowd wearing an empty holster, which was clearly visible on his belt, and with his hands crossed in front of his chest.

Gee, I'll save the jack booted thugs remark for later.....I'll bet it was an evil "black" EMPTY holster too....those things are dangerous..

Surprised he wasn't tazed...

Columbus and Cleveland have been struggling not to comply with Ohio's CCW and pre-emptive gun laws so this isn't a surprise.

Cincinnati, on the other hand, has a DA who has stated that anyone who goes armed into a place to commit robbery has given up their right to not be shot.

If he had one of those dangerous bibles with him, he would have been.

The university president sure likes power.  He appears drunk on that power and that he intends to pursue his desires even in opposition to law.

They don't have to charge him with anything.
By hauling him off, even if they let him go once they were out of sight, they were seen to "do something".
Appearance trumps substance.

DOJ led by Eric Holder hisself will be all over it..................just wait....................really.


Wait a minute, this guy is WHITE! Ain't no way his civil rights can be violated.
