Oh, that (VZ 26) you might have it back wards, The Bren was based on a European design, but I forget what country,I THINK it was Czechoslovakia as they had a HIGHLY respected firearms industry before WWII. The letters "BR" come from Brno, the city where the original design was manufactured. The redesigned British version was manufactured by Enfield, hence the "EN". (Now lets see what spell check comes up with for that countries name  ;D   )

You're right... I was gonna correct myself today after I discovered my mistake. That'll teach me to write before I read. Good info. Thanks.

Had the chance last year to try several.  Went to a USPSA style match where the club put up five stages and brought in two dealers that rented the guns to us.  All guns were 9mm except two (one Russian with ammo in a "sardine can" and the other .556 - no shooting the steels with either of these)  Ran the course with an H&K, and then did some individual stages with several others.

Ranks right up there with one of the best, and fastest, way to spend $150!

Still   ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D   ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  Nine months later!

Yes that was the Glock 18.  The standard non-ported version makes the MG42 seem a bit slow.  The Ported version, G18C, with the tricky folding stock add-on that brings the muzzle ports within about 12 inches of your nose is a little bit like having someone hit you in the face with a shovel 33 times in 1.4 seconds.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.
