Seems obvious to me, but doesn't mean the court system will get it right.  They did get it right this time, however....

DENVER (AP) — A federal appeals court says illegal immigrants don't have a right to own firearms under the U.S. Constitution.

Emmanuel Huitron-Guizar of Wyoming pleaded guilty to being an illegal immigrant in possession of firearms after his arrest last year. He was ordered held by immigration authorities at the Natrona County Detention Center in Wyoming.

An attorney for Huitron-Guizar appealed the case, saying illegal immigrants are not excluded from possessing firearms like felons and people who are mentally ill, and should have the same rights as U.S. citizens to buy a gun for hunting and protection.

The 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in Denver ruled Monday that illegal immigrants have only limited protection under the Constitution.

Huitron-Guizar's attorney, Ronald Pretty of Cheyenne, Wyo., says he plans to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.

how about being a legal citizen first...  to start with and not waist the courts time as you are not LEGAL there...

lol should arrest him and deport him for being there illegal  to start with
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

And that would be free food, healthcare, housing and education.   ::)

Time for him to leave and illegals have NO rights here and we should treat him as Mexico would treat one of our citizens with a gun in Mexico (Jail)

I seem to recall that there is a yellow form that all gun dealers have you complete before you can buy a firearm. One of the questions asks if you are in this country illegally and if you check yes there will be no gun sale so if you can't buy from a dealer then I guess you can't own one either.

We're not as geographically blessed as Australia.  If someone wants to sneak into your country the way they do here, they'd better be really good swimmers.  Here, all they have to do is dig a hole or sneak through a fence.
Bravery and stupidity are often synonymous.  So are cowardice and intelligence.

"We Americans have been a rebellious band of freedom loving vagabonds from the very beginning. Our freedom from the crown and tyranny would not exist had it not been for the gun. That's a tradition we like to hold on to.  The same can't be said for the rest of you 'Subjects of the Queen'."--said to a Canadian friend who just doesn't get it.
