He talks about a man's dignity... that thing that allows a man to hold his head high and see the future as something he can mold in his own way - using his own talents and skills.  The liberal's way - giving some a hand out at the expense of others - does nothing to nurture a man's dignity.  Creating an economic environment where people can work and produce, an environment where people can bring home an honest day's pay for an honest day's work - that's what cultivates a man's dignity.

We need more like John Wayne today.

This is not a "bad" thing.
It is simply another example of why the word "fair" should never be used in serious social, or political discussion.
Life is not fair.
If it were then every one would get cancer, or no one would.
All men may be created equal in the eyes of the law, but that does not mean all men are created equal.
Not every one has what it takes to be an Edison or a Gates.
You can not raise a dull, lazy person to their level.
All that you can do is eliminate the opportunity for the gifted to rise above the herd.

The purpose of the Constitution is not to be "fair".
It's purpose is to f*ck as few people as possible while allowing the rest to strive for their full potential.
