Stoeger Double Defense
« on: May 15, 2012, 09:46:31 PM »
I know, I know it only holds 2 rounds but when I saw the side by side at my local gunshop I had to touch it. It just feels right. I have a 870 that I love but what I like about this is the short overall length. This would be a good camping gun in my opinion. And honestly it just looks bada**. ;D My gun dealer priced one new for $350. Thats about the cheapest you can get any double gun. I think the overall length would make it so handy to pack and heck it would be a great under or beside the bed gun too. I could even sleep with it ;). Just kidding but there's just something about a short double gun.

I've heard it's a good option for those that aren't that proficient with firearms.  I'd hope all I'd need would be the two rounds anyway

They look. Cool.  I was thinking of getting one one day to have a sxs 12gauge.  And pimp it up and make it look bad and evil :)
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

I like the coach gun too. There's just something about a short double barrel that I like. Like I said I have an 870 but even with a short barrel it is too long to be a handy toss behind the seat gun. I wouldn't feel too undergunned with a short double with a shell holder on the buttstock. I'm probably going to buy one just because.

I would too if'n I could.

They scream 'old school' and 'Dammit, I'm SERIOUS!'.  Just like a large revolver type hand cannon (.44 or .45).

I really want to make fun of these, but they may be on to something. The over/under is thin, short, and should make for two quick and nasty shots up close without being easily grabbed. Being able to add a light easily is just a nice bonus.
