My old man had a birthday this month
« on: May 17, 2012, 06:21:54 PM »
So.....I got him some goodies for that dang M1A. Springfield had bigger mags, a scope mount, a bi pod, and a leather sling. He wanted a Shepherd scope, so I got a 6-18x40 P2.  It's still a big heavy ugly man gun, but I think he likes it......     ;D
Sorry about the cell phone pics though.

I wondered that too. You would need a cheekpad the size of a small couch to shoot well.

It's the way it mounted with those rings. He has different ones to put on. He kinda likes being able to use the sights if he wanted to  ???. I don't care, it's his, and if HE likes it, that's fine with me!    :)

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
