It's New Orleans, You can't expect them to get it completely right. Must have frosted Mayor Noguns a$$ though.  ;D

Nah, I think the photos of him waving that M4 around did that already.

Insanity-Doing the same thing over & over, expecting different results.  Some time after Katrina I was in the airport security line in New Orleans and the woman in front of me was complaining about airport security...7 or 8 machines...12-15 people...and only 1 machine active.  I relayed it is the worst airport I ever travel in...she agreed.  I mentioned how politicians there were screwing the people to tears...I explained what insanity was..she nodded yes...then I said look at what the fools have done again...vote for Nagin (OK..my bad..I baited her she was obviously one of his constituents).  Welll...she stiffened up and informed me, down her nose.....that he was the lesser of two evils...to which I replied...well, that worked out really well for you the first time, didn't it?

A week after the storm, some of his Nagin's fine citizens showed up 60 miles from N.O. at my elderly parent's driveway about a week after Katrina...then drove in...ooops..there was Bubba (me!) with a CZ-75B from behind the truck.  You don't drive 30 feet off the road just to turn around, eh?

Houston also had an increase in crime that coincidentaly started as Katrina "refugees" arrived, so much for Ray Nogun and his "Chocolate city".
