Warning!!! I finally figured it out

I have been watching the History Channel series on the American Revolution on Netflix. It is an event that I personally believe is the most important in human history. The founders of our country committed treason against the crown in order to create the freest society and what would become the most powerful, and wealthiest nation the world has ever known.

Benjamin Franklin said it best when asked what they were doing. He said they were giving the people a republic, if they could keep it. We have not kept it. We have let it slip, little by little into the hands of those that would pervert our laws, and enslave those still willing to make their own way.

We were told that it is our duty to cast off an oppressive government and reestablish a government that the Constitution intended. How long do we continue to wait? When do we sound the call to arms? When do we put the lamp in the window? When do the minutemen ride?

In a way I think that a revolution has already started. Right here, on the forums, with the TEA Party movement, in (inteligent) people's thinking. The massive growth, and overreach of government in recent years, along with them spending us into oblivion has got people saying enough is enough. Now with things like the occupods, and incidents like the New Black Panthers and Trayvon Martin, the country is a powder keg. All that is left is that one shot, that will be heard 'round the world.

Just spent the last two hours talking with my brother in law.  Born in NY, educated in CT and went to college in NY.  He's a bit older than me and completely and utterly uniformed.  Taken by Obama and his minions in 2008 because of his lack of trust in the GOP and his disdain for Bush.

He won't make that mistake again but he still needs to do his homework!  We have some animated discussions but I still love the guy!

I agree that the revolution has already started, but I disagree with your view of it.  Groups like us, on forums and in communities, are aware and talking.  We are taking action to be prepared.  The actual revolt is within the the great divider (Pres. BHO), the occupiers, the race movements, and the likes of the Revs Jackson and Sharpton.  What they don't realize is that when they break loose with with their physical attacks the true Patriots will rise up and fight back.  They will bring the fight, and they will not find us unprepared.

The difference between this fight and the one in the 18th century is that they do not know which side fired the first shot back then.  When this one starts it will be the the other side that starts it, but we will respond with swift, certain and appropriate force.

To the info officer in that black helicopter up there:
I am not calling for revolt or revolution.  I am not saying we are going to attack.  What I am saying is that if we continue the way we are, and the Occupy Wall Street crowd, Rev. Jackson and Rev. Sharpton, and the groups like the Black Panthers follow through with their threats/promises, we will not rollover and play dead.  We will defend ourselves, and we will fight to defend the great nation our forefathers bled to forge for us.

Let me add one more from Pres. Jefferson:

A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.

Think about this.  Is this really what you think our country should be?  Do you really think the government "shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits"?  

Or do you really think the government should enforce the beliefs you hold true?  Do you think Jefferson meant for government to enforce the beliefs he held true?


Perhaps I need to make this a Poll question.

"Government" acts like a gas.
It expands to fill all available space that is not tightly sealed against it.
"We the people" deserve what we are getting, it is our punishment for not doing proper maintenance on the seals.

I'm sorry    It is partially my fault   

In my younger years I didn't have much gas, but now I fart a lot to try and make up for it.

I guess it is up to us older ones to force them back out.
