Ours is up every day. Seems to be a few more than usual in the neighborhoods. God bless our troops.

Went to pull my flag down to half-staff last night and some @#@#$% had stole it!   >:(

The next one is going up with some "precautions" when I finish this long-short week.

My flag is displayed every day along with the USMC flag (son is a Marine). A light shines on old glory every night and a new one gets purchased every time she gets faded or torn. I didn't see alot of flags displayed in my neighborhood which is sad  :'( but in some others I saw a fair number :).
My parents always took us as kids to the memorial day parade then to the cemetary (my dad's brother was killed in Saipan and received the Silver Star posthumously). If I'm not working I attend memorial day as well as Vets day ceremonies most yrs. and pay my respect to all those that gave all for us.

Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun,  July 26, 1920.

We have a flag out on our front porch column every day. For the weekend we put 8 little ones in a circle around our front tree.
Also got that fancy mailbox reflector scheme.
Still working on lighting though.
I got the blues as my companion.

I fly mine as often as possible. Unfortunately with the wind we have mine doesn't see much of winter. But I just feel bad subjecting old glory to 70 mph winds.
I am a member of my nation's chosen soldiery.
God grant that I may not be found wanting,
that I will not fail this sacred trust.

Flag etiquette allows for inclement weather!  You don't have to fly it every day or at night unless the flag is illuminated.  I have an Navy acquaintance in KS, she gets up every day at dawn and raises her flag and lowers it at dusk, religiously!  She works at home...
