I wonder if he smells sulphur yet..

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is suffering from a form of connective tissue cancer – called rhabdomyosarcoma – that is extremely rare in adults, according to a new report.

Chavez is not expected to live “more than a couple of months at most,” says an unnamed source quoted by former CBS anchor Dan Rather, who is now reporting for the TV channel HDNet.

Rhabdomyosarcoma is relatively rare, even in children. It is most often found in those ages 1 to 5. The disease can arise in various parts of the body, including the head, neck, and intestines.

Chavez has traveled to Cuba at least three times for treatment. Rhabdomyosarcoma patients undergo chemotherapy and radiation. Sometimes it is treated with surgery, if the location of tumor allows it.

More than 70 percent of children with localized rhabdomyosarcoma survive for the long term, according to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

However, Chavez’s cancer has reportedly “entered the end stage,” according to Rather’s source, described as someone close to the Venezualan leader. Chavez is running for re-election with voting scheduled for Oct. 7. Rather reported that “it is doubtful the dictator will live to see the results.”

I hope he dies screaming in agony and there isn't a drop of any painkiller available for him.  JUSTICE!

I hope he gets the best medicine that 1958 Cuba can buy him! [sarcasm]

Now, lets hope that Sean Penn doesn't lend him some medical treatment...

This should bring out the historical warm & fuzzies....

snip....

Venezuela bans private gun ownership

Venezuela has brought a new gun law into effect which bans the commercial sale of firearms and ammunition.

Until now, anyone with a gun permit could buy arms from a private company.

Under the new law, only the army, police and certain groups like security companies will be able to buy arms from the state-owned weapons manufacturer and importer.

The ban is the latest attempt by the government to improve security and cut crime ahead of elections in October

Venezuela saw more than 18,000 murders last year and the capital, Caracas, is thought to be one of the most dangerous cities in Latin America.
'Must do more'

The government has been running a gun amnesty in the run-up to the introduction of the new law to try to encourage people to give up their illegal arms without fear of consequences.

More at link but we know where this is headed....

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

The sad thing is he has both the money and the surrounding professionals to ensure a quiet and peaceful demise.

The good thing is Hell is eternal.

“I’ve lived the literal meaning of the ‘land of the free’ and ‘home of the brave.’ It’s not corny for me. I feel it in my heart. I feel it in my chest. Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either.”  Chris Kyle

I don't care if he hurts.
Just as long as he dies.

What a nice thought to imagine all the pain that cancer can bring, the lack of effective pain meds from 1958 and no gun to put himself out of his own misery..
Perhaps a "Come to Jesus" is in order... I wouldn't bet on it, but he might ought to consider it nonetheless...

If he "comes to Jesus", I hope Jesus tells him "Go to hell".
I don't hate him for his anti American rhetoric, or sucking up to that little prick in Iran.
That may have been annoying but it really had no effect on us.
What I hate him for is that he took the most prosperous, stable, and free country in South America, and through the application of democratic party principles totally wrecked their oil economy.
Had the revenues been properly invested in the country Venezuela could be a paradise today.
Instead he invested in 2nd rate Soviet weaponry that he would never have needed if he did not try to stir up crap in Columbia with the Marxist rebels . So he also held back the Colombian people who are trying, with commendable success, to recover from decades of communist, and Narco violence.

He controls a sizable stretch of the Pan-American Hwy that connects the fields to the U.S. border..
I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop on the Iranian missles supposedly set up to control the Gulf of Mexico/send messages to the southern U.S.
I think the guy (and his Iranian boyfriend) has an impact..
I still hope the guy has the smell of supphur caught in his nose right about now..
