I have no idea what Santahog was referring to, other than Noonan is listed as an attendee.
But I thought it was interesting to see Gary Kasperov's name on the list.
I knew he went into politics, I did not realize anyone took him seriously about it.
I would ask if you REALLY know anything about the Bilderbergers, or are you just running with "everyone knows" conspiracy flakes .

The Bilderberg crowd isn't one known as an "America First" crowd, but rather globalist in focus.. Noonan wrote an article about Gingrich that was so belittling that I was amazed, given her past flair for diplomacy in her writings, even when skewering somebody.. It really was insulting.. She called him an "Angry Little Sock Puppet", among other things..
Seeing her present association with this bunch, it makes more sense..

No they're not "America Firsters" but just by the make up of the group they would lean toward pro Capitalist positions.
However it is important to point out that the representatives of each country are evenly split between Conservatives and Liberals.

She shit on the guy and told everybody he smelled bad.. It would be SOP were it not that she has been held up as an elder shining star of the conservative school of thought.. Old school and invited to all the best dinner parties to be sure, but with a reputation equal to that of George Will of old..
Maybe it's me.. Maybe I'm having a hard time understanding that the Tea Party/Oathkeepers is not the old school conservative guard.. I "feel" betrayed.. Same as with Coulter doing the orgy with non-2A Chris Christie..
I've yet to hear Gingrich say anything that doesn't line up with conservativism, his flirtations with "Global Warming" and "Single Payer" aside.. At least he calls those things for what they were..

Career

Before the Reagan years, Noonan worked as the daily CBS Radio commentary writer for anchorman Dan Rather at CBS News, whom she once called "the best boss I ever had." From 1975 through 1977 she worked the overnight shift as a newswriter at WEEI Radio in Boston, where she was later Editorial and Public Affairs Director.

In 1978 and 1979 she was an adjunct professor of journalism at New York University.[8]

Noonan also worked as a consultant on the American television drama The West Wing.

In mid August 2004, Noonan took a brief unpaid leave from the Wall Street Journal to campaign for George W. Bush's reelection.

Noonan became increasingly critical of the Bush administration after Bush's inaugural address in January 2005.[9][10]

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Noonan wrote about Sarah Palin's vice presidential candidacy in the Wall Street Journal. In one opinion piece, Noonan expressed her view that Palin did not demonstrate "the tools, the equipment, the knowledge or the philosophical grounding one hopes for, and expects, in a holder of high office," concluding that Palin's candidacy marked a "vulgarization in American Politics" that is "no good... for conservatism... [or] the country."[11] Such commentary resulted in a backlash from many conservatives.[12]

Noonan is now an author, a columnist for The Wall Street Journal, and a commentator on several news shows. She is a member of the Manhattan Institute's board of trustees and one of the founding members, along with Liz Smith, Lesley Stahl, Mary Wells Lawrence and Joni Evans.

I have to add that the Oath keepers, the Tea Party, and the so called "Modern Conservitives" are not the "old school conservative guard".
The Barry Goldwater crowd are all dead, and with a generation of moderates between, while the new crop are awakening, they really haven't connected all the dots yet.
I would put the blame on having to overcome years of indoctrination, for so long they were told things from all sides, so they believed them.
But as the lies became more blatant, and the offenses against logic more egregious they listened less and thought more.
My sense , especially of the Tea Party, is that they know something is wrong, they can pick out certain symptoms, but beyond that they still haven't gotten it reduced to a root cause.
But they're getting closer.
We'll see what November brings.

For an organization without a head (to cut off), the Tea Party has already done remarkably well in the primaries. I think Sarah Palin and Mark Levin may well have saved Orin Hatch from their axe.. That remains to be seen..

I see that Noonan is another one of the "Gov Palin isn't qualified" crowd.
As I think more about it her attacking Newt makes sense if you consider there is a civil war occuring with in the Republican Party.
The long term "Party Leadership" (RINO's ) versus the Tea Party side who see no gain in compromising with the idiocy of the Dems.
