Even then he doesn't care. He's in it for himself, and anything that will get him in front of a camera. He looks for anything that he can exploit for personal gain. That's why he has to resort to extortion for funding. No one would support him willingly.

I know he tried it with NASCAR because they had no black drivers, and they caved to the tune of $150,000.00. The same for Budweiser and they caved with a beer distributorship for his son. When he came a calling at the Mircosoft Headquarters, demanding to see Bill Gates, they had him thrown off the property. I'm not a big fan of Gates, but I'll give him credit for standing up to him.

The people have now experienced Chicago politics first hand, and have realized, what's good for Chicago isn't what's good for the nation. Corruption, overspending, and bankruptcy are highly overrated.

I did several searches at guidestar.com looking for "rainbow" /"push coalition", etc, to see if they were non-profits.

I was trying to figure out what Jesse paid himself.

Iirc, his name wasn't on or in any  of the IRS Form 990 tax returns I did actually find, so it still leaves me puzzled.

Rainbow/PUSH is a non-profit organization formed as a merger of two non-profit organizations — Operation PUSH (People United to Save Humanity) and the National Rainbow Coalition — founded by Jesse Jackson. The organizations pursue social justice, civil rights and political activism.

In December 1971, Jackson resigned from Operation Breadbasket after clashing with Rev. Ralph Abernathy and founded Operation PUSH. Jackson founded the National Rainbow Coalition in 1984 which merged with PUSH in 1996. The combined organization keeps its national headquarters on the South Side of Chicago and has branches in Washington, D.C., New York City, Los Angeles, Detroit, Houston, Atlanta, the Silicon Valley, and New Orleans.

In 2000, the organization investigated the case of Raynard Johnson, who was found hanged by a belt from a tree in front of his home in Kokomo, Mississippi.[7] Jackson labelled it a "lynching", although two autopsies both concluded that the death was a suicide.

Former congressman Mel Reynolds, who served a sentence in prison for sexual assault and bank fraud, was hired by Rainbow/PUSH as its resident scholar on prison reform after his release in 2001

Personal life

Jackson married Jacqueline Lavinia Brown (born 1944) on, December 31, 1962,[67][68] and they had five children: Santita (1963), Jesse Jr. (1965), Jonathan Luther (1966), Yusef DuBois (1970), and Jacqueline Lavinia (1975).[69]

On Memorial Day, May 25, 1987, he was made a Master Mason on Sight by Grand Master Senter of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Illinois; thereby making Jesse Jackson a Prince Hall Freemason.[70]

In 1991, Jackson received the American Whig-Cliosophic Society's James Madison Award for Distinguished Public Service.[71]

In 2001, it was revealed Jackson had an affair with a staffer, Karin Stanford, that resulted in the birth of a daughter, Ashley, in May 1999. According to CNN, in August 1999, The Rainbow Push Coalition had paid Stanford $15,000 in moving expenses and $21,000 in payment for contracting work. A promised advance of an additional $40,000 against future contracting work was rescinded once the affair became public.[72] This incident prompted Jackson to withdraw from activism for a short time.[73] Separate from the 1999 Rainbow Coalition payments, Jackson pays $4,000 a month in child support.[74]

Jackson seems to have no visible means of support at this time.
