I'm surprised Philly wasn't in the top 5. Or Camden, NJ for that matter.

In this list it's #1 most dangerous overall.

WOw.  Now thats interesting because on the 25 safests side Livonia, Sterling heights, and Troy are heavily Democratic cities.  Farmington Hills, I'm not too sure of.

I would like to see reports of cities below 500,000 population.  I bet Highland Park would beat Detroit big time!   ;D

There is a pretty big jump in income rates once you get about 20 miles from downtown Detroit and the safety ratings follow. Those areas maybe Democratic, but they aren't Detroit Democratic.

Now that is true, although technically troy is only 14 miles from Downtown Detroit if you take John R. .  ;)
