Should I?

Kimber Ultra Carry II all black, just a bit dinged up but good shape,  + or - 500 round count. Private sale at $580?  Should I go for it? I was hoping to get a Defender but that's a 1L price tag.

Should I hold out for the Defender?
I got the blues as my companion.

What is "just a bit".
At 500 rounds it's just getting broke in and probably shouldn't be dinged up at all.

I see a few scratches on the frame and the newbie gouge where the slide lever scratches if you don't know how to put it in right.

That's a decent price if it isn't too "dinged up".  If you are going to carry it it will get dinged up anyway.
I had a Kimber Pro carry and found the MSH to be quite pointy and a major pain in the side when carried.
And at 500 rounds it is probably about due for new recoil springs.

Me?  I'd buy it and flip it and put the profit toward what I really wanted.  YMMV.

Edit:  Just looked it up: replace recoil springs every 1800 rounds, FP & main springs every 5000 rounds.

I have also wanted Defender for years....but if a Kimber came up at that price I would probably jump on it.
