Quick Population Question

What is the number of U.S. citizens as of the last census?  I don't want the "resident population" number, but the actual number of citizens - Adult and minor.

SWAG numbers I've heard are 320 million total, plus about 20 million illegals. My gues is that since they didn't ask if you were illegal in the census, that 20 mil number is low.

Resident is 308,745,XXX and I'd go at least 30 million illegals.  It ain't all Mexicans....

DHS estimates the illegal population as 11.5 million and we know thats wrong.  They estimate that illegals went from 8 million in 2000 and only gained 3.5 million?  Those numbers are ridiculous...

Do the math, 10K Mexicans every day for 11 years...that's 40 million people!  Say we catch 10% and send them back, you're still at 36 million.

Bottom line, there is no accurate accounting of people in this country!

Most data comes from the US Census which is a population census.

It has been reported that illegal immigration from Mexico has been falling, some of those here have gone back.
The reason ?
More jobs in Mexico, their unemployment rate has remained around 5%.

The 2012 numbers from the gubmint are 315,xxx,xxx.  However, that is residency and not citizens.  Citizenship is what I am looking for, and they hide it way to well as pointed out by itchy.  Sad thing is that they way they mask citizenship and tout residency shows that the number the government uses are meant to put not citizens on an equal plain with citizens

Same as the "massaging" and upward revisions done by the gov't regarding unemployment. The U-3# +/- 8% vs. the real U-6# which is closer to +/- 17%.

The census will never have an "exact" number. As the numbers already posted with sources are still different. +/- a few million.

They also use 280,000,000 guns owners in the US also.....that number is most certainly higher as well.....
