Maybe NYC Should Ban Guns,...Oh Wait...

After 77 shootings in NYC, in ONE WEEK, (96% are Black on Black), seems Police Chief Ray Kelly is "shocked" that there is no community outcry.

Only outcry from the community is for NYPD's "stop & frisk" policy.

Article here:

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly demanded Tuesday to know why the community leaders who rail against stop-and-frisk policies haven’t led demonstrations against the gun violence exploding this summer.

“There doesn’t seem to be any major community response,” Kelly said.

“Many of them will speak out about stop-and-frisk” but are “shockingly silent when it comes to the level of violence right in their own communities,” he said.

Seventy-seven people were shot in New York last week during the heat wave, including a 3-year-old winged by crossfire as he played under a sprinkler in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

You obviously set this one up for someone, so...here you go.   ;)

There's no power and influence to be created or money to be had by going against the senseless murders.

However, there is a lot of social guilt drifting around out there to tap into that does result in money, status and a sense of empowerment.

Seems simple enough to you and me.  I marvel at how few other people get it....which is the real question, why doesn't everyone get it?

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

Quote
Adam Quinones, 7, said Isaiah was jumping in a playground sprinkler shaped like an elephant when the gunman appeared.

“He pulled out the gun and started to shoot,” said Adam, a self-possessed child with a good eye. “I was the first one who saw the bullet headed for my brother, and I saw blood.

“After he finished shooting, he put the gun away and ran like he didn’t shoot. He jumped in the car with two guys. I didn't get a glimpse of the driver.”

Here's the kind of witness we need more of:

He has sharp enough eyes to see a bullet flying through the air at over 1,000 feet per second, but he can't get the license number or a description of the car.

This story is written 100% to continue the divide in the nation.

Since the only reference to those shot is mostly black on black and a three year old that was "winged," it is going to sound racist when I say this:

Is it possible there is not an outcry because this is a case of the bad guys cleaning up the bad guys?
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

there is no outcry with black on black shootings because there is no money to be made off the "rich fat white devils" by sharpton et al... ::)

Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage. Where are we now??????

Just my opinion here but here goes:

There is no outcry because it would require the "victims" to do something for themselves.  Most all of the outrage they display is about getting someone else (usually the government in some form) to "do something."  To be told that this is really a community/cultural problem that the African-American community has to fix from the inside goes against everything they have ever been told their whole government dependent life.  They are, after all, "victims" and it is up to others to fix their problems for them.

Truly, they are victims - of a government that has addicted them to cradle to grave dependency and totally destroyed their pride, sense of self worth,  and moral fiber.  Those that make a (very fine) living off of promoting the victimood culture have no one else to point a finger at.  "We have met the enemy and he is us."

Or not.

There is no outcry about the 96% black on black, because it is just trash taking out trash.
