Anybody else watch this show tonight (Sunday 7/15). Episode 4 was a commercial for the Brady Campaign IMHO.

Bad enough that the Bitch from Hanoi has a prominent part in the show, but the program put stock in several lies about Obama and guns while purporting to expose lies from several prominent conservatives.

And I would like to see the statistics that show that perps flip guns out of the hands of victims! (Need to watch the show to get the context).

We don't get HBO.  Once a year we will get a free weekend or two of HBO, and when I travel quite often there will be one of the HBO channels in the room.

HBO is very anti gun!  They run a lot of programs hyping the evil gun and all the damage it has done to us.  I have received mailings and telemarketing calls trying to get us to subscribe to HBO, and when I have the time and evil mind working I will go off on them that there is no way I would ever support a station of their political mindset.

IIRC this is another Aaron Sorkin show, the same guy that did The West Wing. You know, the "we Dems lost the election to Bush so I am putting on a show so we can pretend we won the election" show.

Sorkin is a loony libtard to the max, a darling of the leftoids, and very much anti-gun.

Like The West Wing, The Newsroom is penned by liberal activist and TV producer Aaron Sorkin. Who is writing it? According to Sorkin's writing team, the George Soros-funded, extremist website Think Progress is doing the heavy lifting for team Sorkin.

The episode for Monday, July 9 was a Tea Party bashing extravaganza filled with all sorts of smears of Tea Partiers, of Rep. Michele Bachmann and all things conservative. During this same episode one of the characters favorably mentions Soros-funded Think Progress. This caused TP operative Adam Peck to take to his Twitter account to thank Sorkin and his writers for giving his website a plug.

In reply, the co-author of that night's episode, Gideon Yago, replied to Peck's Tweet saying that the website's "reporting and archiving was vital to the research we did."

"Research." In other words, they merely did a word search on the Think Progress website and that served as their "research." The TV writers essentially allowed Think Progress to do the work for them.

This is how the Hollywood left operates. They simply look to groups like TP, Moveon.org, Markos Moulitasis of The Daily Kos, and other far left propagandists to find the meme they want to further and work to continue rolling the narrative along like good little co-conspirators. This is the sort of narrative farming that Andrew Breitbart spent his last years battling.

Now, conservatives have been scoffing at this new left-wing show, of course, just as they did The West Wing some ten years ago. There are some that are even a bit buoyed by the fact that this left-wing show has appeared on TV in our time. This line of thought goes that The Newsroom is a coping mechanism for the left because they know they are losing the battle for the hearts and minds of Americans.

What ever it is, one thing is sure. There is nothing new in Hollywood and The Newsroom is rehash of cold hash not to mention just one more outlet for the left-wing meme machine to push their tall tales in a vain attempt to win in the political arena today.

Leon Czolgosz was an Anarchist, today he would be a member of the "occupy" movement
Lee Harvey Oswald was a communist who defected to the Soviet Union and was active in "Fair play for Cuba".
Attempted assassins going back to the attempt on Andrew Jackson are also consistently either by nut cases or socialists .

He actually did kill the Judge who ruled in favor of illegal aliens in a suit against an Az rancher for holding them at gun point when he caught them sneaking into the country.
I did not forget him I just limited my list to people who targeted Presidents, but he is a perfect example since the media worked so hard to portray him as a "Tea Party" psycho, until it became public knowledge that he was a volunteer worker for the Dem party.
