You know, back in the 60's and 70's we got five channels, you could turn on the network covering the Olympics, and you could see a lot of coverage and every result.  Today we have 300 channels with seven of them covering the Olympics, and we still need to go online to get info and that changes constantly.

Who said technology would make things better?

I beg to differ TAB, during the winter games the Alpine event, where cross-country skiing "and" rifle shooting at targets during various stages is very popular Internationally.

These summer events have 17 nations competing.....in the trap event.

We (The U.S.) just happen to be really exceptional.

But the MSM, buries it on the back up channel, MSNBC, at the 2:00 a.m. coverage to say they "covered" it....

Have you seen the ping pong finals???? That is no joke for an event.... ::)

Have you found yourself watching handball yet?  It was on when I tuned in the other day, and I had no idea what it was even after they told me it was handball.  I've never heard of it before!

We played a game as kids with a racquetball thrown against a three sided wall called "butt's up" that was similar....

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

That is the handball I was expecting.  This game they are playing is a mix between basketball and soccer  ???

The main NBC channel.  It looked like it was going to be a couple minutes worth of interview (not the actual event), but it was already off about the time I finished posting.  Sorry, for getting your hopes up.  TAB and mountain timers can still watch it when they catch up.

It's one of only a few events the USA has never won a medal in.  Ping pong and another one (badminton?) or 2 in the summer.

If you have ever seen a high level table tennis match you would be amazed.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.
