Not those two idiots in the Democratic debate last night..... they pandered to us gun-clinging bitter small-town Bible-thumpers by saying that they would never take away the right of fathers to take their sons hunting. HELLO! ITS NOT ABOUT JUST THAT!

As Clinton put it. "some things might work in Montana, but not in Philadelphia...... We must give local municipalities a way to control gun violence". Obama went on about the "Traditions of going hunting".... well, What about the tradition of shall not be infringed?

Its just such an ignorant approach that the Democrats take when it comes to gun control. Strict gun laws only impact law abiding citizens. A gun to a criminal is a means to an end, and criminals don't care what the gun laws say. It is impossible to legislate guns out of the hands of criminals, but loosening gun laws to make it easier for law abiding people to keep and bear arms for their own personal protection saves lives.

It's important to remember that the only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. The cops aren't going to get there for at least 10-15 minutes, so what is a person supposed to due to stop a criminal with a gun in the mean time? There is a very old saying, "Don't bring a knife to a gun fight". Well, if the crazy left wing Dems had their way, then criminals would be the only ones with access to guns and we would be left with only a steak knife from the kitchen drawer to defend our family from a home invasion in the middle of the night.

For the Dimocrats, it's all about the incremental approach - ban evil black rifles (or EBRs as they are affectionately known in some circles), we'll leave the hunting alone. Then ban all magazine rifles, but bolt actions with 3 or less, that's for hunting, that's OK.

Finally, it will be - ban all of the evil sniper rifles (i.e., bolt action hunting rifles) and then they will all be gone.

As the German Pastor Niebuhr said after WWII, First they came for the Jews, and I wasn't Jewish, so I stood by and di nothing. Then they came for the Gypsies, and I wasn't a Gypsy, so I stood by and did nothing. ... And then they came for me, and there was no one to say anything.

Substitute "hunting rifle" for Pasto Niebuhr and AR's etc. for the Jews and the Gypsies, and it makes a point. We have copied more than the interstate highway system from the Nazis. We have also copied their mass mob control techniques as well.
