First Shot: Sig P938
« on: August 24, 2012, 08:33:00 AM »
I had the opportunity to shoot the Sig P938, Sig's 9mm sub-compact.  It was IDPA practice night at my range last night and one of the members of the group is a dealer.  He brought a brand new and just out of the box P938 he just received.  It had a nice fit in my hand and I thought quit controllablele when shooting.  It was very accurate at 10 yards were we all shot from and it was easy to hit center mass.

That being said, all of the shooters problems with rounds failing to ejecting, a few light primer strikesicks and the slide would sometimes  lock back with rounds in the magazine.  There is a small spacer plate that hammer hits when strikingking the firing pin.  I assume it is in place to prevent the firing pin from moving too far.  Well that spacer plate broke off, too.  That ended the demo.  All of this happened before we went through 50 rounds.

Of course, this is just one gun and does not mean that all of them are bad.
