Raise 'em up a bit 'til they sprout feathers. 

Then you can call 'em chickens. 

Right now they ain't chickens..  They's jest breakfast!

The quality is so much better from fresh ones.......Our hens are molting at the moment so we aren't getting near as many as normal.

If it was not for the smell( small lots) I would be getting a few hens myself.

My wife, (city girl) won't let me keep any.. If you've got water anywhere, even if it's just a bug rubber tub, you ought to get a couple of ducks. The eggs are fabulous!!
