A Phone Call

Yesterday I got a phone call from a person identifying herself as from a Obama Supporters Organization.  She said that since I'd been a supporter and contributor to President Obama that she would like to ask me.... 

I stopped her at that point and told her I'd never supported or contributed to Obama and that he was destroying our country.

She said she would 'make a note of it' and hung up.

How in the world they put my name on that list I'll never know.

You should be in the local coffee shop some lunch time. I have started timing my visits to coincide with the Obama campaigns lunch break  

It's about the same as the next door beauty schools lunch break

Funny I have never gotton a call from the dnc, but get 2 a week from the rnc.   I have always been registered as a indy.  Now calls asking for my vote... The phone rings off the hook.   whats funny is 2 years ago I got a call from some one that wanted to get relected... Only at that time I was in legal action with said person over them oweing me about 40k... The poor lady on the phone got a earful.

We were getting pestered with an 866 number, so my daughter volunteered to answer in her "Asian Store Owner" character and maintained it for almost ten minutes and only lost it when she tried to read the numbers of the credit card...had some trouble and started yammering.."oh no...drop a credit card...oh no...drop a credit card."  It was for Mitt's campaign so we gave $10 but we were all in tears by the end when she had to drop the act and continue in normal 17 year-old conversation.

This is why I never answer my house phone. Anyone I want to talk to has my cell number. The rest is generally bill collectors and telemarketers, particularly pre-election, since I'm registered to vote and have given money in the past. The thing is just an answering machine. If I didn't live in hurricane country and want a source of communication when the cell towers went out I'd drop it entirely.
