I really only shop at three places online any more..............

My go-to place other than Brownells and Midway (lately) is Amazon. In the last few months I've bought everything from a new Bible, to a heating element for our dryer, to a picatinny riser for an AR, to a fuel pump for a lawn mower....... all cheaper (as much as 60% cheaper) than I could get it anywhere else with free (or really cheap) shipping.

I'm much the same.  I'm not going to put my CC info on too many sites.  Amazon has always fit the bill and I've not paid for shipping in three or four years now.

And, yes TAB, I keep track and pay my state sales taxes each April.  Clothing is exempt up to 50 bucks, grocery is exempt as well!

Here's a good example of how some places gouge for parts cost. The dryer element went bad a few weeks ago and my b-i-l came over to look at it (he worked for Sears for years a a service tech, before getting back with the police dept.). His 'supplier' cost through Sears for the element was $60....... He used one he had on his truck, and I ordered him a replacement through Amazon...... cost mer $20 + $5 shipping (Amazon charges a shipping fee on items they broker from third party suppliers). While he was here, he got me to look up some commonly used parts for him....... the biggest sphincter-stretcher for him was finding out one part he regularly orders through Sears for $30 only costs $0.47 through Amazon.   ;D

Yesterday I ordered some new work shoes, steel toe required.  Keene had them for 125 bucks with 7 or 8 bucks freight.  Amazon had them for $124.95 with free shipping.  Do that ten or twenty times a year and the shipping adds up quickly.  If they don't fit, they'll let me ship them back for free as well and replace them with another size also free shipping!  I can't do that with the manufacturer of the shoe!

No brainer...

(yes, I tried to buy American but it's getting harder!)

All my work boots are Keene, I get 'em for... a smokin' deal  ;D  My step-daughter's dad works sales for them so we have Keene bags, shoes, back packs and the like.  I still haven't got my Keene socks though

My first pair!  Hope they work out...I've always been a Red Wing guy but they don't make a work Oxford that's 20 ounces and Keene does.  They're both made in China these days so I went with the Keene!

I've had 4 pairs of their boots and the only ones I had an issue with they no longer make.  More comfortable than the Georgia boots I wore for years and they are still oil resistant.

My one , sort of, gripe about Amazon.
I buy mostly books.
I have had fantastic luck with the used books, most titles I look for I can get for a penny and they are like new.
My gripe ?
$3.99 shipping  .
With paperbacks running $7.99 + I can't get to upset though, and I got a Cold Steel Ti lite for half price.  ;D
