Coupla videos..
« on: September 11, 2012, 09:20:34 PM »
The first video would be much better served without the "video" part.
The questions are real, and need to be asked and answered, individually, (sooner rather than later) though..

The second is good, in my opinion. It asks the questions that I seem unable to make the guys "in authority" acknowledge as valid, much better than I've been able to so far..

Tom, break out your snark.. (Here it goes again!!)

Not going to bother, JNevis and I have both posted the exact quotations from the bill.
I'll just cash in on my tin foil dealership.

I wasn't going to comment on this thread but in the thread about membership drive you mentioned this in passing

"This NDAA thing is something that I consider to be a nation ending problem. I differ with Tom and Jnevis on it because they read the law while I read the nature of people who would interpret/enforce it. "

That right there is the whole point of my disagreement with you on the subject.
Those people you mention are legalistic a holes, if there is a way to twist something they will, look at what they have used the "commerce clause" to justify, however the NDAA says "This doesn't apply to citizens or legal aliens" there is no wiggle room.
I'm not saying they won't, or haven't, done that rotten sh!t, I'm saying that they can't use NDAA to make it legal like Hitler did with the "Enabling act".
That is something to keep in mind, everything the Nazi's did was perfectly legal under German law.
The authority to gas Jews started as an abortion law, it was expanded to cover euthanasia of the handicapped, and non productive members of society.

But Obama and Holder aren't bound by the law if nobody can effectively challenge them, and nobody has to date..
F&F broke US and Mexican/Intl Law. Nothing..
Voter Fraud is a Fed crime that the AG is bound to prosecute. Hasn't happened.
They guy makes recess appointments while the Senate is in session. Anything?..
The stuff continues.. People bitch about it, but nobody has been to "effectively" tell him "no"..
Boehner has a majority but hes afraid of him, I guess..
The law says what it says and governs what it does, but if nobody stops him, what difference does it make if it's illegal or not?
Know what I mean?

I don't think Boehner and the Republicans are afraid of him.  I'd say they are thankful they get to blame him for enacting the same stuff faster than they think they could do it.

Mitt, btw, has back off of repealing Obamacare.   He says he will keep some parts of it...the most expensive, from what I heard.

BUT Ryan mashed the gas and said they would work on repealing Obamacare on day one, all of it.

A successful business man, Romney, and an economics major, Ryan, are bound to have differing ideas on specific measures, both have to be better than a lawyer who lost his law license , Obama.
The key to winning is to keep hammering the general subjects that Obama can't defend, after 4 years the economy is worse, the promised jobs never appeared, and Dems ALWAYS suck on foreign policy.

I like Ryan and think he says what he believes......but Mitt was saying what he thought he needed to get the nomination and how he is saying what he thinks he needs to say to get elected.   Not that I'm not gonna vote for Mitt, just that I don't expect any kind of cure for what ails the country, just a few years of slowed decline.

Ryan only has to fight his boss and most of the rest of the Republicans to get done what should be done.

I would include most of us along with Ryan, the Republican old guard needs to be retired and replaced.

Perhaps with a 3rd party that has most of what we want in their platform, either that or Tom's Hemp Solution
