Prayers for a friend and his wife...

Just got word that Dwight, a good friend (probably my best friend!) had a stroke!  He was concerned enough about his CCW weapon that he delayed calling 911 until he was able to get it to a safe place!!!  Still was inside the time frame to get treatment so that, hopefully the affects will be minimal.  While Jet, his wife was leaving work for the hospital she fell and used her left arm and hand to break the fall and get up.  Normally this wouldn't be a problem but she recently had a Pacemaker implanted and was not supposed to overtax the arm too much.  Still waiting on additional info...

Prayers would be appreciated.

Went to visit Dwight today.  His left side has been affected....speech and use of his hand.  Doctors say he is doing well and should respond to therapy.  He is undergoing additional tests for heart damage due to HBP.  Also he will be having an MRI later today and he is highly claustrophobic!  They have offered him meds before the test but he believes he can go without.  Jet was checked by her Dr. and there is no damage from her fall.

Dwight got out of the hospital yesterday evening.  We went to visit earlier in the day and he looks very good.  Just a little problem with his left side but that should clear up.  Glad it wasn't his right side...he is right handed and one of the best shots I know of, even at 70!  Will be going to PT for a few weeks.  Will have to have Carotid surgery in about 6 weeks which is worrysome for us all but should go smoothly.
