Did anyone watch the debates?
« on: October 05, 2012, 01:04:46 PM »
Personally I didn't. I mean honestly, short of Mitt coming out bare assed naked wearing an American flag as a diaper and confessing to shooting a man in Reno just to watch him die, I'm voting for him. Listening to these two blather on for two hours just seemed like cruel and unusual punishment, so I watched the Military Channel instead. But, if you were a hardier soul than I, was there anything worthwhile discussed?

Dennis Miller was wondering if an ass kicking would be covered under Obamacare. BO needs to check his coverage because bohica.

I watched every minute of it, and I actually enjoyed it. Obama sounded like he thought he's stroll out, smile, and spread a little of his usual BS around and everyone would drop to their knees. Mitt came out to kick ass and did. He jumped Obama so many times I thought the secret service was going to grab him. At times BHO actually looked angry, staring down at his podium, while Mitt told him, "Everything you just said about ... is completely inaccurate".  He didn't look too happy when Mitt told him that the 90 million or billion (whatever- silly numbers) he gave to the alternative energy companies was 50 years worth of subsidies given to the oil companies and that half his pet projects went belly up. No one has spoken to the Anointed One like that for 4 years. He was incensed.

Mitt Romney is no prize, but like McCain said, if it was a fight the referee would have stopped it.

I'm more than a little interested in seeing Ryan try to have an intelligent conversation with Biden. That should be rich.

Biden and Ryan match up. Looks unfair one guy (Biden) is unarmed in the intelligence aspect of it. Ref would call it before it starts.

I think one line went like this;  "You spent 90 billion dollars on green energy through bankrupt companies that contributed to your campaign!"  "You could have hired 2 million teachers with that money!"

A thorough beat down and Chris Mathews, I understand, nearly had a coronary because his boy didn't cut the mustard!  Your favorite dike newsmaker, Madow,  thought it was all a ploy to make Obumnuts look like he was the underdog...

I watched and Romney won overwhelmingly based upon style points alone. Obama looked like he just didn't want it that bad.

But if one really listened closely, there really wasn't that much substantive difference between the two.

Ok. I know already: if I think that I don't have my head screwed on straight or it's stuck some place where the sun doesn't shine...I'll save the Romney Kool Aid drinkers the trouble... ;)

Sure, Romney took Obama to school over fiscal policy, but the rest of the time I heard too much "I agree with the President....." or "I agree with Governor Romney....". He's too close to Obama for my taste.

Al Gore claims that Obama lost the debate because of the altitude in Denver.
I would have thought Obama's college days would have prepared him for being a lot higher than that.
For those who may have missed or skipped it here are some highlights.

And here's some of the twitter traffic

Of course FQ had to post his mindless Palin slam so here's a little preview of the VP debate.
