A friend came up with a kickass costume a few years back. He put a bandanna on his head, wore a plastic sword and wrote 40 on one of the lenses of his glasses. It was of course, "A Pirate Looks at 40". Maybe its a Florida thing, but people were cracking up and it set hum back about five bucks. OTOH, staying with the Florida theme, you could buy a rubber snake and a few plastic roaches.
