So I bought an HK USP airsoft...
« on: October 27, 2012, 09:40:16 AM »
I'm working on the road up in Wisconsin and started jonesing to pull a trigger so I went over to Wal-Mart after dinner and browsed the meager selection of airguns.  I settled on the CO2 powered HK by Umarex because I used to own one and there wasn't much else other that M4s and cheap spring powered toys.  Picked up a dozen CO2 bottles and 500 .12 gram rounds and went back to the hotel.

First this thing is louder than I thought, which limited my shooting quite a bit.  Second those little things scoot!  I set up some of the plastic cups in front of the window with the heavy curtains pulled and shot from across the room sending the first 3-round through both sides of the cup.  Pretty accurate too.  The "magazine" houses both the Co2 cartridge and 16 rounds of rounds  :) so you could practice mag changes if you had an extra, which I don't-yet ;)

Best $55 I've spent on this trip, still leaving enough perdiem for a new Chrono and Shot timer when I get home.  Now I just need to find somewhere I run some drills... El Presidente anyone?  ;D

I've got a spring powered P-22 and a sticky target that lets me plink across the living room.  ;D
It came with a spare Mag and 250 rounds, I'm still working on the first 40 rounds I loaded up 7 years ago, the sticky target prevents loss ;D

I saw those, thought about it but wanted something I could practice with.  May have to whittle on this a little to get it to fit my Blade tech holster but I think it'll be a pretty good fit.

I may end up getting one of those traps to set up in the garage, the wife wouldn't be too happy to have me "pop...ding" while she's watching survivor  ;D

I wouldn't be too happy with having someone in my house watching "Survivor". Tell her you're playing the "home version of the game". ;D ;D ;D

As I said, its the home version. You eat lizard guts on an Island, me, I'll practice my shooting. Lets see who comes out ahead. Survivor indeed. ;)
