We had 20 - 30 mph winds all day yesterday, couple of stronger gusts during the night, rain was mostly just mist/drizzle with a couple of down pours, nothing really noteworthy though.
They had the weather graphic on TV you could watch the storm cells dissolving as they hit the cold front.
The only ones I know of that lost power were the ones who always do.

Just a lot of heavy rain and high winds here. No trees down that I can see but haven't been outside since day before yesterday. Right now it's light rain and occasionally breezy, so it looks like I'll be hauling the lawn furniture, etc., up from the garage to the back yard a little later. Heard some reports of flooding in Frederick. along the Monocacy, but heard only one siren from the local VFD so things must not be too bad. Guess we dodged the bullet! Son and family in Severn (near BWI) rode it well, no power outage (yet).

Nothing bad around the house.   A few trees down around the area.  Haven't wandered about yet.

BTW about 0130 someone broke into Target.  Not sure yet what/how much was taken.

Sustained 30-35 mph winds with gust of 50 or more this morning.  Southern Lake Michigan buoy measuring waves at 19-20 feet.

Wind warning in effect till 8:00 tonight and Lake Shore flood warnings until Wednesday afternoon.  Pretty good chance of rain for the next 3 days with a possibility of snow mixed in, but it shouldn't stick here for long.

I have also heard this refereed to as the storm that never ends.

So, going back to my "Mark my words" comment, I was more right than not. North of us (above Atlantic City, LBI, etc.) got washed hard, which is normal. I drove around Cape May today- nothing worth photographing. Sand on the beach road, a little flooding, a few trees down. I've seen a lot worse in a normal noreaster. We skated on this one.

I have watched storms come and lived through them and I must say, RARELY will a hurricane or tropical storm come up here and JOIN forces with another system. It is my experience they almost always detract from each other. But... NOAA has to raise enough of a stink so that the Governors can declare a state of emergency so that they can get all that federal money.

We dodged another bullet.

Another effort by the media to cover for Obama lying about Benghazi.
Did you hear about the "Super tanker" washed up on the shore ?
Like the "super Storm, it turned out to be a 170 ft water tanker.
We have partly sunny, 65, light breeze.

Yeah.. I caught a breathless Sheppard Smith talking about that "Super Tanker"..
I was more than a little suspicious about that one, given the source..
Why does that guy still work there???? (Because "Chicks dig him". That's why..)
With friends like these, who needs hallucinations!..

We had a lot of rain and some very strong winds and were blessed not to have major damage, other neighbors where not, most of their shingles are in my yard and there is a lot of trees down and power out. Our power was only out for an hour or so, did not even bother to run the generator, and kind of enjoyed the kids not having power.

Henry was not so lucky, received this a little bit ago.

Dear Valued Henry Customers,

Hurricane Sandy has caused significant damage to the Henry Repeating Arms plant in Bayonne New Jersey. We do not have any electricity, nor do we have any  telephone or email service. We are hoping that we will once again be operational by the week of November 12th. In the meantime, we ask that you refrain from attempting to contact us. Also please refrain from shipping any firearms to us until we send a followup email confirming that we are once again operational. If you are a Henry vendor, please do not ship any parts to us until we confirm we are operational.

Rest assured, we will be back building our rifles again as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience, understanding and loyalty.

And if you were affected by the storm, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sincerely,
Anthony Imperato
President
Henry Repeating Arms
