Both.
There are a small group who for various personal reasons aim at destroying Western culture and it's concepts of national patriotism and personal liberty, these individuals work through a portion of society that Lenin referred to as "useful fools" and the rest of us call dangerous dumb asses.
They are easily identified by their "Obama 2012" buttons and stickers.
As an example, George Soros is evil, while the general membership of Moveon.org are just stupid.

Money and Power. What amazes me is that often a person that has amassed money and power through traditional means (like capitalism, for example) begins to apply that combination for the purpose of gaining even more power through socialistic, fascistic and communistic means! The fools...those who follow those means and have no power or money...never achieve any money or power in the process. They are the fools that unwittingly aggrandize the very few who already possess the money and power. The beauty of capitalism is that, often, those without money and power succeed in gaining them and you don't have to be a member of the 1% to enjoy. So which category do you think Obama is in, power broker or fool? I think the latter and that is the most dangerous aspect of his presidency! It's obvious to me that someone else is pulling his strings as he truly lacks leadership qualities (proven by the Benghazi fiasco and his inability to move to the center when necessary). Obama is a puppet, so who is his puppet master? Soros? Ayers? Jarrett? Van Jones? Oprah?

I've gotta tell you.. The first of the "Ignorant" that comes to mind for me is the Candidate for Circuit Judge/Deacon/Budget Committee member of the local Southern Baptist Church.. Those people should know better!!! They worked through the Unions and have their retirement nested within that construct, and I suspect that even the notion of coming to grips with what the organized Left is actually all about is frightful even to whisper in the dark..
They stand up there with hands uplifted and faces washed in front of every evil that Satan and the Left have poured out over a nation blessed by God and necessary for their continued financial wellbeing.. AND THEY CANNOT MAKE THE CONNECTION!!!!!
You point it out to them and look at you as apostate!
I look at these people and marvel, with a heart that's broken all to pieces, and ready to just stick my foot dead up their clueless asses!!
Every time I think about it, I'm torn between screaming "What the f..k is wrong with you people!!!", and just walking out because I know it would just be a waste of breath, (and that guy running for the Bench will remember me when I'm falsely accused by a jackass Cop one day)...

The "tools" that aren't grounded in anything that's real, can reasonably be expected to fall in line with the conveniently timed lies of the day.. Some of those guys can be taught, something..

Don't get me started on Unions.
They were the original socialist base in America.
Thank God the Mafia has kept them somewhat in check or we would already be where Europe is.
Even with the Mafia trying to keep them focused on corruption they have taken us way to far down the road to socialism.

You really need to read your labor history Tom, as not only are you dead wrong, but you're missing out a very fascinating bit of US history. From the 1890s to the 1920s labor had three basic factions. There were the Marxist socialists, largely Germans. Then there were the anarcho-socialists who hated the communists, mostly under the IWW banner. Then were the trades union types who wanted collective bargaining rights, headed by guys like Gompers. The reason we don't have a labor party is because the Supreme court in the 1890s created a "freedom of contract" right out of whole cloth. If you thought Roe was bad, you'll love this one. The Slaughter House Cases established it, and it to this day pretty much killed the "privileges and immunities" clause of the 14A.  Anyway, since wages and hours laws were struck down, unions pretty much stopped trying to get things done through politics, and used strikes and such to bargain directly with companies. This was in stark contrast to Europe. Anyway, check it out, its a neat piece of history. But now its time for NCIS, so I'm outta here. ;)

An acceptable excuse.   ;D
The whole concept of Unions is based on a socialistic fallacy that labor can function with out management.

They kinda complete the evil trifecta in the downfall of American society, don't they.. It all came together on the docks in 42.. What a sloppy, infectious little threesome..

FQ, I'm not gonna argue the intentions or who may have "won" the struggle for the chance to represent the heart of American "Labor", but clearly (leadership) have come to a consensus as to the truth of who they actually serve. It's Union leadership..  :(
(I stop everything for NCIS.. Tuesday has been "Ducky Day" for years for at least 7 years for me now. I love it!! Have you noticed a slide in writing lately? I saw it again last night with the "I told you not to bring up his name", phone conversation.. I think the show has about run it's course. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm guessing this season and one more, maybe two, tops.)
