I was never good with house plants, but if the pay was right, I could learn, and they do brew good beer and know how to make good coffee out there. ;D

Professor!  It's a fuggin weed dude!  Put a seed in some decent potting soil, add water, good light 24/7 and keep it from germinating....in about two months it will start to bud and get sticky if it's left alone without a male of the species to spew it's spawn upon the buds.  It helps to start with good seed, not that I know of such things...

From all that is sounds like you can posses it but not sell it..or maybe you can posses and sell that one oz.?   Not gonna be a lot of tax revenue to collect no matter how high it is taxed

It's been that way in Alaska for some time now!  I don't hear of any issues up there...

Here in MA they've legalized it for medical purposes and I've got a nasty case of glaucoma coming on...

Tim, trust me its alot more too it now.  I have built more then a few grow operations for the medical stuff( which of corse is bull shit)   trust me, there is nothing low tech about these places.   or the plants themselfs.   most are lab created hybrid clones.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

That's why field grown Mexican brown was $80 an ounce and Ca green bud was $40 a gram.

I'm aware of the technological advances in the last few decades.  I'm also well aware of how good it was the old fashioned way back in the 70's!  I lived just south of Eureka, CA for two years...  Humbolt County to be exact...

Either way, just about anyone can grow a moderately decent crop with little or no knowledge other than that obtained off the interweb.

A galvanized trash can works well .
If any of you actually intend to engage in such behavior it would behoove you to understand that the Electric and water utilities will report increased usage to local law enforcement agencies.

Not much at all, a typical plant of decent lineage will produce from 1 to 4 ounces of crop.  Really serious growers can produce several pounds out of a single plant.

I stumbled into a field in northern CA thirty years ago that had stalks as big around as my leg, I was skinny then though!   ;D  Serious stuff.  I didn't stick around to greet the owners...

Stumbling into a feild is why I always carry while hiking.  I am not too worried about the odd animal encounter, but finding a field worrys the hell out of me.

The difference being in the 70's the big growers were mostly hippies!  Well armed hippies but hippies none the less.  I knew several on a friend of a friend basis.  After Carter shut down the forests for logging, folks needed to make a living and some decided to grow the largest cash crop in the states history.  Even then it dwarfed the logging industry in dollars.

Today, you have a vast, hardened, criminal element that controls the harvest.
