Target construction info
« on: February 06, 2007, 12:40:41 PM »
Greeting, all!

Was watching SG a couple of weeks ago, it was about a police shooting match.  They used a target I really liked.  It was a silhouette of a standing human, with knockdown plates in the head and chest areas.  But the best part was that the chest plate required a double tap to drop the plate.  There was a very quick shot of the back of the target, it appears there are two plates.  You first hit shoves them back and drops one plate, and your second shot drops the second plate.  I would really like to have one of these, but I couldn't see exactly how it worked.  Does anyone have any info on these targets?  If I could just get a good photo of the back of the thing I could build one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I know of one place that makes steel targets like what you describe, I am sure there are more manufacturers.  I have purchased from this company and they are first rate.

Lots of photos on their site, so you should be able to figure out how they build this stuff.

Here is another link to steel targets.  Check out the swing & drop video.  It is very cool.
