You guys are making me feel right flush having a 2003 truck.  ;)

My 2003 Silverado has 170k on it..... only reason I bought it was because I could no longer drive my 1994 S-10, which was a stick shift. I gave the '94 to my older son with 125k on the ticker and he drove it about 6 years and put another 125k on it and sold it to a friend. He talked to the friend the other day and he has put almost 100k on it. Still runs strong.

When I left Maine, I left it all.. One of the things I cringe about every time I think of it is having left a 69 Ford 1 Ton. It had a Rock Crusher transmission in it that was worth what I gave for the truck, back in 98, (4K). Good old "Armstrong" Power Steering.. I got the front wheels of that thing wedged between a couple of stumps not long after I got settled in up there, just carrying the cookout stuff down to the pond.. I hardly ever used it up there and I only bought it to move/pull an old Airstream (with a pet pig in it) up there in the first place.. (A little Beverly Hillbillies action going on at the time.)
After the stump incident, it wobbled so hard that I couldn't get it much past 25 on the road for fear that it would shake itself off the side of the mountain.. It could've been fixed cheaply enough. I just never got around to it.. It was a few years before I even knew I had messed it up.. Now I'm "truckless"..
I sold it for what you'd give for the rocker panels off of it. I had to go, and I didn't know it I was even coming back to the this hemisphere.. I sold a 07 Mustang and a 04 Honda Pilot, too. I was more than a little fond of all of those. (All paid for, too..)
Now I'm down to a 09 Ford.. Edge.. It looks a little like a pacer.. It's comfortable and paid for, but God help me if I ever need to replace it, cause the money is gone for good now..
With friends like these, who needs hallucinations!..
