Fits of Insanity (Am now sane again!)

Well, I did something very, very dumb.  Had a friend that has been after my Kimber Ultra Carry for a year now.  He kept on me almost every day, and I wouldn't sell it.  In a fit of insanity I shot him a price and damn if he didn't lay down the money.  Now, I got a lot of handguns, but I have never had a carry gun I liked as much as that Kimber!  Now I got to search for another one.  Either another Kimber or a Colt Defender.  Been packing my full size Colt, which compared to the Kimber is like packing a lead brick on my side, or my Ruger P95, which isn't as heavy, but very bulky.  Been leaning toward the Colt, just because it is a Colt.  What say you fellas???

I have wanted a Colt Defender and was ready to bite and got side tracked with a Springfield XDs (which I love- no regrets) Get the Colt. It's a damn fine gun.

Or, you could get a Glock. No BS and no hazing, they really are about as close to perfect for a carry 15 yard gun as you'll get. Just draw, point and click, repeat as neccesary. They ain't as pretty or as accurate as a Kimber, but who cares? Its good enough. Rent one at a range and try it. Pick your caliber, but I guarantee you'll be tempted. Plus we have cookies. ;D

Am now sane again. Just got back home with my brand new Kimber Ultra Carry. yeah, same gun I just sold. I sold my old one for $600, and got this one for $800. I carried the other one every day for 5 years, and the finish was pretty well shot on it, so I guess that aint too bad!

Well, a friend of mine had the same gun and had RoBar re-finish it and cost him $300.  So, I figure I got a brand new gun for $200.  (Yeah, we gun folks can justify anything!) ;D
