It turns out that the bullet resistant vest used by the Aurora movie theater shooter wasn't so bullet resistant

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has this sales receipt for the vest used by James Holmes.  If you go to Tactical Gear, you will see that while this is an "assault vest," it is hardly bullet resistant.  The vest is apparently an "assault vest" because it has pockets to hold multiple magazines. Here is the description provided of the product (click on the picture to enlarge).  Nylon isn't going to provide much protection against bullets.

This came out shortly after the event when the company made a public announcement of what he had actually bought in reply to the liberal out cry against "bullet proof" vests.
Another shining example of "accuracy" in your media.

I heard the rumor that he just had a tactical-cool vest but never saw it in black and white.
I am still hearing supposedly informed people talking about body armor being used in Colorado,
so I wanted to make sure the facts were out there.

A receipt showed Holmes bought an $106.99 Blackhawk urban assault vest, a $52.99 Blackhawk Omega Elite triple pistol magazine pouch, a $52.99 Blackhawk Omega Elite M16 magazine pouch, and a $77.99 Blackhawk Be-Wharned silver knife.

     I searched on "body armor" and didn't spot any thing relevant.  Oh well....

Unless your target is wearing heavy body armor...about 50lbs worth like the seals and delta wear...two center mass and one to the head still works. If they are wearing heavy, then two to the head and one to the crotch. Of course, it all depends on what YOU are shooting, now doesn't it?

I am a thinker not a gun slinger, but since only one or two of these creeps have been real warriors

It's unlikely you will be wearing body armor if (heaven forbid) you find yourself in this sort of situation. 

My plan, and you may appropriate any part of it you think may be of help, is to look for someone wearing an Odamna pin, a Che t-shirt, a union button, or something similar, take cover behind them, and return fire.

It's not a perfect plan and will probably not work at all at Tea Party Rallies.  Still, it's a plan.
