Democrats Finally Admitting Obamacare is Bad

Sixteen Democratic senators who voted for the Affordable Care Act are asking that one of its fundraising mechanisms, a 2.3 percent tax on medical devices scheduled to take effect January 1, be delayed.  Echoing arguments made by Republicans against Obamacare, the Democratic senators say the levy will cost jobs — in a statement Monday, Sen. Al Franken called it a “job-killing tax” — and also impair American competitiveness in the medical device field.

The senators, who made the request in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, are Franken, Richard Durbin, Charles Schumer, Patty Murray, John Kerry, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, Joseph Lieberman, Ben Nelson, Robert Casey, Debbie Stabenow, Barbara Mikulski, Kay Hagan, Herb Kohl, Jeanne Shaheen, and Richard Blumenthal.  All voted for Obamacare.

Two other Democrats, senators-elect Joe Donnelly and Elizabeth Warren, also signed the letter.  Donnelly voted for Obamacare as a member of the House.  Warren was not in Congress at the time.

“The medical technology industry directly employs over 400,000 people in the United States and is responsible for a total of two million skilled manufacturing jobs,” the senators wrote in a December 4 letter to Reid.  “We must do all we can to ensure that our country maintains its global leadership position in the medical technology industry and keeps good jobs here at home.”

You'll like this one.   The mandated medical records not only is a scam, but it's causing more paper work, more expense and less time actually "doctoring".  My doctor abandoned his medical practice right after Obama was elected because he saw a lot of this coming.  Now more are giving up and throwing in the towel.

AND on an OT note:  The more solar and wind power generators that are built will require more  fossill fuel plants to be built to act as backup.  I'll post the link later, but California is in a self-imposed funk over the cost of this.

Medical technology is why the northeast has a lower unemployment rate than the rest of the country for the most part.  MA is going to take a huge hit on this, notice Kerry and Warren, our resident socialists have signed it...Scott Brown was screaming from the rooftops about it and no one was listening.

Princeton, MA fell for the feelgood wind power crap a few years ago and as a result of the cost of construction, failed components, problematic wind turbines, etc...is now has the highest electrical rates in the entire state.  They're telling anyone and everyone to avoid wind turbines at all costs...a completely failed program!

Place I used to work here in Laconia made medical devices.
Mostly internal stuff like vein harvesters .
We were producing 1,000 biopsy cups a day.
When Obama won the election the previous unlimited overtime disappeared.
When he got sworn in I and several others lost our jobs .
They have been staggering along but this will probably finish them off.

Problem isn't so much that they don't know, it's that they THINK they know.  

It's FREE.  Obama will pay for it.

That is why "The Rich" and Conservatives are so bad.  They are keeping all the FREE money for themselves.

Republicans are evil, selfish and greedy because they ask, "How will you pay for it ?"
We have a $16 trillion and climbing, debt because the Dems have controlled Congress for most of the last 80 years .
