Free training for Teachers

Several instructors, including Rob Pincus, are stepping up to the plate with a focus on shifting things in a different direction by offering free slots in their classes to teachers in those rare positions that are allowed to CCW in schools.

I sincerely applaud the effort.

The opportunity for this is very limited right now in the US, with Utah being the only state that seems to permit teachers with CCW to carry without further permission.
If you are a teacher who carries in a public school, legally, please contact me (rob@icetraining.us) if you are interested in attending a CFS course in 2013.
Part of my agenda here is continue to cause the conversation to shift in public schools, so the offer is very specific.

As and added note, besides Utah, I think certain areas in Texas either allow, or are trying to allow, teachers to CCW.

That is about the only alternative I can see, other than putting armed LEOs in every school! LOL!

It will be difficult to change the views of most school officials and have them allow trained faculty to carry!  :'(

I agree.
Implementing policies and plans into school systems that would actually work toward making a difference are the hardest to achieve.

Israel and Thailand both arm teachers.
If a teacher can not be responsible with a fire arm they probably do not belong in a class room in the first place.
