Code Pink, where are they when you need some traction?

EDIT:

Great message by Wayne and by withholding comment the NRA had everyone's ear.  Whew... I was nervous they were going go soft...  Donation will be in the mail tonight  ;)

Sounds wonderful.
Get it past the NEA.

Edited to add that it does play on the NRA's one strength that even the anti's can't deny nd that is their leadership in the field of firearms training.

All in all I thought it was a good showing. LaPierre showed sadness for the tragedy and also  conveyed a patience for the heckling and the coming criticism...it looked to me like wisdom. They have the facts to back it up and a heavy hitting team to produce a school safety program. I liked it. He could have pressured on the other aspects more, and my own personal favorite talking point, which is, we owe it to the victims to take a serious look at all of the causes. It's spitting on their graves to shriek "gun control" and leave it at that.

As the NRA we've taken a positive step, and we'll go from here.

I spent an hour this morning spreading the word it was going to be available to watch, and then I get an emergency call from the big office and was in an hour long conference call with a local manufacturer and a Chinese manufacturer.  I'm trying to keep all of this item coming from the local manufacturer, the local manufacturer is talking mixing his inventory with some from is overseas partner, and my sales and marketing director doesn't give a damn and wants to scrap it all and have us go direct overseas  >:(

Enough of that, I will be viewing it later today on the catch up.  But I am encouraged that even Bogan is not upset  ;)

Today I believe the NRA hit a home run with the people that we needed to get the message to. Bravo NRA

IMO, it now puts the anti-gun crowd in a box.  If they refuse to support the NRA's new shield program, they obviously don't care about the safety, welfare and protection of children as they claim.  Every time a representative, school district or other neo-hippie says or does something against implementing this plan, we throw this in their face.  Love it.

By the way, I am assuming that Wayne LaPierre did a better job of showing true emotion and respect than Pres. BHO's scripted cues and crocodile tears.

Just to say something to the hurry up and say something crowd. This shows that its better to take your time and develop a plan that will work.
Just saying.
