A couple of Warsteiners, some wine with dinner, an Irish Coffee with dessert, and off to the "Land of Nod"..... ;)

Going to a party at a friend's house, so nothing to drink until I get back home (about 11 o'clock before the crazies are on the road).

New Year's Eve is amateur hour and one needs one's wits about one. 

Once I arrive back home, I will have a nice glass of red wine before I toddle off to bed.

New Years Eve is for amateurs.  The problems start when they try to sit on the porch with the Big Dogs.

I have a bottle of 1975 Penfolds Grange Hermitage bin 95 that i have been saving for a special occasion. Now that my granddaughter is walking, that might just be it! Happy New Year everyone.

I second the Pusser's Dark, wtr

Try this.

In a coffee cup, put brown sugar to taste...maybe a teaspoon to a standard coffee cup.
Put in Pusser's Dark to taste ...mine runs to a double shot.
Fill almost to the top with fresh ground and brewed coffee.
Stir well.

Take a tablespoon, turn it  bottom of the spoon up and position it so it forms a gentle ramp from the edge of the cup to the top of the coffee.  The pour real cream or half and half, if you must, over the back of the spoon so it floats on the top of the coffee.

Sip it.  With each sip you will get the cream, coffee, Pusser's and the brown sugar.   See how long you can sip at it.
