This may seem nit picky, but it is like clips and magazines to me.  I know I have erred in the past myself, but I am trying:

If a firearms company is selling to law enforcement they are selling to civilians unless said law enforcement is a military unit.  An easy way to tell the difference is to ask the question "Can you quit your job anytime without going to jail?"  If you can you are a civilian.

That doesn't change the issues of this thread, because I believe that our nation was founded with the intention that the power was to remain with the citizen as opposed to the elected official or special group.

Yes, it is nit picky, it is also incorrect.
Military and Law Enforcement are both gun toting representatives of Govt force .
Therefore a company that only sells to law enforcement personnel is  selling to members of an arm of Govt not "We the people".

A company that sells to law enforcement is separating one group of civilians above another group of civilians.  If you are going to sell it to a city police officer or a state trooper, why not ABC security?

Because ABC Security is not a Govt entity.

Because ABC Security is not a Govt entity.

Does that mean the meter reader, the librarian, or the plow driver should get preferential treatment in weapons and accessories?  These are all employees of government entities as well, and many of these employees would have no problem demonstrating their firearms skills at qualifying levels for POST.

They are not "armed entities" of Govt.
Although they are supposed to report unusual activity, for example the water and electric utilities will report if your usage increases .
Many people arrested for growing pot are targeted because of that.

What's this I heard that Bill Ruger supported the first AWB? Is that true? If so, why are we buying guns from Ruger like there is no tomorrow? I am confused.

Mostly because he's been dead for 15 or so years and the company has been under new management.

And doing much better....

Bill Ruger is noted to have said, "No honest man needs more than 10 rounds."  This kind of attitude is unfortunately reflected by members of the gun community that would not mind of another AWB passed because it wouldn't affect their guns.
