I noticed the NRA is not involved.  I guess a letter to Fairfax is in order,.  Hell, I'm passing by the building Friday, I might just stop in and tell them to get on the ball in person.

J, I've mentioned this before but it something to think about .
NRA is the big dog on the lobby block . All the gun banners specifically mention hating the NRA, meanwhile the other groups do their thing below the radar.
Like the magician using his big boobed assistant to distract the crowds attention while he actually does the trick .
It's a tactic the dems use quite often , mention the word "abortion" and the Pavlovian religious right completely drown out what ever other chicanery ( how you like that word  ;D  ) the Dems want to pull.
There are other examples, gun control is one, if disarming the public were not such a mandatory central requirement for their objectives I would suspect this current flare up was just to distract from spending talks .
I don't think that is the case though because if we are not disarmed we have the option to say "No, you're not doing that ."

Compromise always means someone gains and someone loses.

This MY cake.

I WILL NOT GIVE THEM HALF.

If someone is so stupid as to give up half their cake to the banners, the banners will soon be back for the other half.

It has been this way throughout history.

MY cake, MY rights.  MINE.

To try and take this is trying to steal from me and mine.

I will not allow it.

“I’ve lived the literal meaning of the ‘land of the free’ and ‘home of the brave.’ It’s not corny for me. I feel it in my heart. I feel it in my chest. Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either.”  Chris Kyle

It is a two-edged sword.  No compromise is another way of saying all or nothing.  Sometimes, you wind up with nothing.  In today's knee-jerk congress, with spineless Republican politicians and robotic Democrat socialists, don't hold your breath they will suddenly see the light.

No, no compromise means not a single additional gun law.  I was on the phone tonight with a guy from OFF (I just joined and I am working their table at a couple of upcoming gun shows) and I suggested compromising on existing guns laws, we'll only repeal half of them now!

Like Paul Helmke said after the Clinton AWB was passed.
"That's a good start, for now."
