Don't think it'll fly, but it shows it's on their agenda and where their minds are.

...of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.

Jan 04, 2013 (113 Congress, 2013–2015) Rep. José Serrano [D-NY15] Referred to Committee

The resolution’s title was written by the resolution’s sponsor. H.J.Res. stands for House joint resolution.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

These clowns are going to kick the hornets nest one too many times.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

They did the same thing back in 2009!  Not going to happen!

An amendment to the US Constitution is one of the most difficult things to accomplish for very good reasons.

Two thirds of both the House and the Senate would have to concur and then it would have to be ratified by three fourths of the States' legislatures within seven years.  That's a tall order.

Very tall indeed!  That's why, since ratification in 1787, there have only been 17 changes and a few of those shouldn't have been adopted in the first place!

The same constitutional process ought to be required for any infringement of the first ten amendments. This will stop the knee jerk reactions to the 2A all the time. We need legislation that reinforces that notion and keeps jerkwater politicians focused on the things we elect them for: budgets, fiscal responsibility and national celebration days (like Twinkie Remembrance Day).
