SAF and Amazon
« on: January 11, 2013, 01:03:32 PM »
I see Amazon is supporting the SAF. Dose anyone know if the support is $ and how much. I order from them weekly for my shop. It would be nice to know how  much they are donating.

I saw that as well which is cool because I got a Gift Card for Christmas and will probably get another for my birthday.

How is Amazon supporting SAF?

A few weeks ago, the Buckeye Firearms Association had a banner and link to Amazon with the statement that BFA would get a portion of any sales from Amazon that occurred through the link.

It was up for a couple months then was removed.

I will check on why, but my guess is that there was not enough volume through the link to make it profitable for Amazon to support the bookkeeping.

Not that it means that Amazon stopped supporting BFA, just that there was no specific support in the first place.

But it does show they do not place a bias on pro firearms organizations.

Have never check but wouldn't be surprised if their might be a link over at Brady's too.

I don't know what kind of arrangement they have, may just be advertisement sponsoring.....but I will say that they sell a lot of firearms related components, or they broker items through third parties for a better price than many firearms-specific retailers.

They have a pretty good selection of AR supplies.

For example, I just ordered a back-up AR upper/lower spring kit for $13 with free shipping.

Checked with Buckeye Firearms Association.

The link is still active, they just placed it down in the side bar.

It was a big banner across the top over the Christmas season and is not replaced by Forum related topics.

Did a search on Amazon for both Second Amendment Foundation and Buckeye Firearms Association.

Found no membership purchase option for either one, but did find publications from both of them for sale along with other pro 2A publications.
