Obama orders Walmart not to sell ammo ?

Stopped at a Walmart out of town that I happened to be passing by Friday afternoon to check out the ammo supply.  They had some but no .22, no 9 mm, 1 box .45, some .38, some .40.  No .223 or .308.

There was a good ole boy there with is young daughter and son looking for some .22

The sales clerk said they did not have any and would not be getting anymore ammo in until the new laws are passed.  She said they were told that by their manager that day.  She said that Obama has ordered Walmart not to ship any more ammo from their warehouse to the stores and that the wholesalers and distributors have been ordered not to ship ammo to Walmart.

I don't know if this is:
1.  True
2.  Partially true
3.  A bad rumor
4.  Garbled communication through the chain at Walmart
5.  Maybe a new Walmart policy to suspend or stop ammo sales.
6.  Some other FUBAR

Walmart along with others did meet with Biden Thursday I think.  I plan to check at my local Walmart to see if I can find out anything more.  Has anyone here heard anything similar at their Walmart?  It would be great the members here could investigate their local Walmart to see if we can find out more on this.

By the way the good ole boy's young daughter's remark was "Obama stinks".  All present agreed.

I don't know about this but I will check my local store.

Either way, the president has no right under the Constitution to verbally or otherwise, demand anything of them!  Not saying it hasn't happened but he's not playing by the book if it has!

If Walmart is seem as openly supporting a progressive agenda they will lose the majority of their customers. 

At least for a couple of day until they forget about it.

The only spine, backbone, or moral compass that Sam Walton's family has is to the almighty dollar    Unlike Sam, like what he did or not, they do not care about the big picture.  It is all about capitalizing on today.  They dumped guns, they brought guns back, now we are waiting to see if they are doing ammunition or it is just a hoax.  Either way, PR move or gossip hoax, neither would surprise me in this world.

I'm contacting you in regards to any policy change about carrying ammo and firearms. While I expect you to follow the law I hope you refuse to be pressured to remove it from available products. Being able to pick up all my needs whether it's groceries or ammunition for a hunt is the reason I frequent Wal-Mart.

Just got back from Wally World.

They had at least a few boxes of common calibers of handgun ammo and a boat load of rifle and shot shells.  No clerk around to ask about the re-stocking issue.  Prices have eeked up a bit too...

Our local WallyWorld has always been slow to restock ammo anyway.  When they finished remodelling to a "SuperWalmart" the manager told the staff not to reorder any ammo, and they have been really slow getting any since.  The shelves were bare except a couple boxes of 22 and 12ga the other day.

I haven't set foot in a WalMart in years but I'm thinking of going just to check out the ammo situation. I really don't have anything to compare it with so maybe I won't bother.

I have gotten to be friends with my local Walmart folk in the sporting goods department some of them for 20 years.

They are good people and kept me posted through on ammo availability through the 2009 Obama induced shortage.

After the run on AR15's in December I heard a rumor they (Walmart) were either getting out of guns again or even ammunition.

They assured me that they were expanding their selection and the ATFE were coming for training in January, 2013.

We will see what happens. 

P.S. The had Bushmaster's in stock before Sandy Hook but they highly recommended the Windham AR15 for about $200 less.

I was at my local walmart today, and they had some ammo.  No quality 9mm or 40, no 7.62x36, no 7.62x54, no .223/5.56.  Basically is was 22 and hunter rifle loads and some crap-ass federal jhp cheap stuff.  Did not talk to anyone and don't know if this is true or BS.
