Stag arms has TWO YEARS worth of back orders!

Can we assume these to be no votes on any gun bans?
Have your musket clean as a whistle, hatchet scoured, 60 rounds powder and ball and be ready to march at a minute's warning.

......only if they're ordered by members of the House or Senate....and they'll probably vote themselves an exclusion anyway  >:(

As of last thursday they were the only company that I know of that was still taking orders. Seems kinda silly if you already have that long of a backorder list.

If MY company had two years of backlog I would IMMEDIATELY invest in expanding my capacity.  I understand this may be just a bubble but 24 months of backlog is HUGE and if it is left as is there is a good chance of losing a lot of that business to someone else that has the capacity to meet the need with a shorter lead time.

FWIW our lead times on automation parts and components is 4-8 weeks and if we can't get it from someone we will get it somewhere else.

A year ago most companies were out six to nine months and it increased even before the election.  This number does not amaze me at all.

As to these backorders representing voters against gun legislation, keep in mind that many of these backorders most likely don't have purchaser names tied to them.  They are most likely ordering for stock to try and just keep getting as much.

I'm glad I ordered my Stag last summer!

A company might not want to invest in machinery and floor space to expand capacity for a product that is being targeted for illegality.

I would be lining up all the stuff needed and holing tight for a few months....or till this is resolved.

Of course, if it goes the wrong way, that extra capacity would come in handy for the war effort.

It depends what the Return On Investment is over the period of time from purchase to the legislative end of the product.  Even then the machines will not have been fully depreciated and a lot of those are not specialized machines.

IF it all goes wrong I wonder what the impact of 3D printer guns/receivers will have on future events?  Besides once the laws have been signed I doubt the manufacture of "illegal" guns will cease, it'll go underground and I would wager there will be some intergrally supressed components too-way too many people know how this stuff is made (kinda like 'shine)  ;D

The only "specialized machine" would be the one that rifles the barrels .
Since many companies out source at least some barrel production as it is those aren't really important.

I believe Stag did a significant expansion the last time AR sales 3 years ago or so.
