Bill Clinton: “Do not patronize the passionate supporters of your opponents by looking down your nose at them,” Clinton reportedly said.  “A lot of these people live in a world very different from the world lived in by the people proposing these things…”
 
He proceeded to explain how, though polling data is certainly useful for politicians, it doesn’t measure the emotion and enthusiasm associated with an issue.  And it’s the passion associated with gun control, Clinton argued, that makes it so delicate.

Slick Willie was, IIRC, a NRA Life Member.  He may be a slimy, disgusting Democrat-but I repeat myself- but he was politically astute enough to be aware of whose bowl of cheerios he relieved himself in.  But the Head Narcissist in Charge will ignore such a Hay Seed Hick and do as he pleases. 

We just need to be aware of the Salinsky tactics and make sure our ranks are tight and watch our flanks.  Last Fall there were those NRA members that didn't think BHO would come after the 2nd Amendment nor did they see the need for AR-15/AK-47/FAL/HK91s and voted his happy bubble butt back in for a 2nd term.  Shame and disgrace be upon them but forgiveness should soon follow so we can strengthen our cause together.
