Proud of my Sheriff!
« on: January 23, 2013, 09:46:16 AM »
I used to live in neighboring Sacramento County up until 2 1/2 years ago. At that time I moved to El Dorado County because at the time (Mid-Term Elections) we were electing new sheriffs as well. This man, John D'Agostini, was running for sheriff along with a couple of other conservative gentlemen. For some reason he stuck out to me not only because of his stance on CCW issuance but also because he couldn't serve just two years, retire, and appoint his undersheriff to serve the remaining two years so that they both could collect retirement for the rest of their lives. (Old sheriff: 220,000/yr, his undersheriff: 180,000/yr). John, at the time, had been a district investigator with a neighboring counties' sheriff's department for 15 years so he wasn't eligible for retirement anyway. John was elected, and within 4 months I was issued my permit (Their office was overwhelmed with applications) and now today, still a man of his word to uphold and defend the constitution he sends a letter to Bidens' office letting him know that he will not be enforcing the so-called AWB.

BTW, after I get off of work today I am personally heading to his office to shake his hand and tell him how much we as a county appreciate him and his stance. Please make sure to write your local sheriff, and see where he/she stands on the issue. Do they offer lip service or are they willing to tell the white house to shove it like mine and many others around the country did?

Jovan,

I already have written my local sheriff and have received no reply. Silence is a message.

Tell him you know an old Florida boy who thinks pretty highly of him, too.

Maybe, maybe it's just a wink and a smile .
You have to figure the ones who have marked their ground are taking lots of heat and pressure , ones that just keep their mouths shut until it's time to produce will avoid a lot of aggravation .
On the other hand he may just be a fascist turd.
