Just as an aside...
« on: January 24, 2013, 06:51:44 AM »
It's a balmy -25 degrees here in Northeastern Vermont this morning. Undoubtedly, some are experiencing colder, and you have my sympathies! Man, I hate this weather!!!!

It's 50F with a light mist here at 0700, that'll burn off by 0900 and we're supposed to have 75F this afternoon. Good tennis weather  :D
Best Wishes, Mike.

Awoke this AM to 47o F.  Should climb to the 70s by mid-afternoon.  My Oregon Scientific Weather Station says we have the possibility for rain today but my bad knee tells me that's not so likely.

Sucks to be you.  You can't go ice fishing if the lakes won't freeze.
Bravery and stupidity are often synonymous.  So are cowardice and intelligence.

"We Americans have been a rebellious band of freedom loving vagabonds from the very beginning. Our freedom from the crown and tyranny would not exist had it not been for the gun. That's a tradition we like to hold on to.  The same can't be said for the rest of you 'Subjects of the Queen'."--said to a Canadian friend who just doesn't get it.

We're having the uber classic 50-50 day. 50 degrees, 50 mph wind. The joke is that anytime we go anywhere else to shoot our windage  adjustments are off by 6 feet.

Can't go ice fishing if the wind is keeping the ice broke up either, which is the problem here .

It has been in the teens for a few days with a strong wind taking it down near or below zero for wind chill.

With that kind of breeze, I had to close the windows.

With the new boiler my Landlord had put in last summer it will have to get a heck of a lot colder before I consider that .
