I have the answer!

Rather than fight and fight and fight with the other side I have a proposal:

We pass legislation that simply says all hoops required to exercise our Constitutional protections provided by the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States will also be applied the citizens right to vote.  Registration, photo identification, permits for certain level elections, fill out a special form at the polling place, and a phone in background check.  No absentee voting - all voting must be done in front of an election judge or other certified local official.

Let's level the playing field and see how it goes.

Could make it all of the bill of rights .
See how the media likes registering their pencils, and having to fill out a federal form for printer cartridges.
If they say they need it for work, then use it for a personal letter that means they lied on a federal form and get 10 years in prison.

Great idea, but it won't fly. The slack jawed Marxist/socialist/liberal/progressive Dems need voter fraud and the illegals vote so their will be no photo Id's, no background checks/fingerprinting etc.. Your idea stigmatizes the people that don't have photo Id's, both legal and forged, if you fingerprint then you would be violating their civil rights. So plain and simple, it doesn't meet their hypocritical guidelines - do as I say not as I do. I do like your idea though ;D

Background checks and waiting periods before they can do the nightly news...maybe limit them to one broadcast a month.

Limit news shows to 10 minutes.  No one needs more than that.

I had a thought last night that if the government wants to disarm the citizens, then law enforcement also needs to be disarmed. After all if the citizens have no guns, why would law enforcement need them. Also, no more SS protection for elected officials. The citizenry is disarmed. There is nothing to fear.
